Jan 2012

Hi one and all........... HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

I hope you all had a great Christmas......?

The festive season here at Dean Towers has been interesting with the arrival of Buddy (who is a chocolate brown cockerpoo for those who wanted to know!).
He is adorable, but I have had a few moments when sliding in my socks past my front door where he has piddled!
In fact it is quite normal these days to see us wandering around the house with one or no socks on due to puddles from his little accidents  - Bless him, he is a very good boy, and we are all totally in love. I find I am having a lot of visitors, claiming to come to see me......... but I know its Buddy that they really want. He has a legion of adoring kids and mums visiting on a daily basis!!!

Upstaged by my own child and dog?

I have had my mum staying over Christmas, and have included here a photo of me with my mum and my little girl taken in church on Christmas Eve, just before the Nativity.
My kid was dressed as Gabriel, she doesnt spend Christmas dressed in a sheet and tinsel generally!!!!
Poor old mum is getting quite frail these days, so it has been nice having her here with us for the holidays. I have to say, this has been one of the most relaxing Christmas breaks I have had for a very long time.
Friends, family lots of laughter... and too much food, but I am so lucky and very grateful to have all of those things in my life.

I had a minor incident on Boxing Day......I pulled a muscle in my back while lifting a bin over my garden fence. Not glamorous I know.....but It bloody well hurt, and I have spent days with heat pads stuck to the injured area, and having huge problems getting off my sofa. I cant even tie my own shoelaces, and think a trip to the physio may be in order very soon. I was a little relieved not to be working on New Years Eve, as the thought of strutting about in heels is not very appealing right now. A quiet night in for me, family dinner and a good DVD - a liberal coating of Tiger Balm and a hot waterbottle at bedtime for my poor old back OUCH!

So far I have quite a lot of shows lined up for the year, which is good news, especially as 2012 is predicted to be pretty gloomy.

As you all know, I have the new tracks coming out with "Energise". Remixing should start in the early part of the year, and I am really looking forward to hearing the results

I will have to start work writing the sleeve notes for the re-issue of "Always" very soon. I am looking forward to hearing this CD when it is complete.

All in all 2012 is looking pretty good for me, fingers crossed that it continues : )

I wish you all everything that you want from 2012, and once again HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Always
